A Maine potter and photographer Ru blends inspiration from nature and her own imagination into her work. She uses stoneware, earthenware, and lead-free glazes to create pieces ready for everyday use. Her work is microwave and dishwasher safe and ready to be enjoyed!
As a photographer, insects, ice, wildflowers and sprouts are among her favorite subjects with which to create images that capture the imagination and show glimpses of our world on a smaller scale than we normally operate. She prints her own photos from and sells them as blank note cards, matted prints, and framed pictures.
Because of COVID-19, Ru's business has moved mostly online in the absence of in-person craft fairs. You can also find some of her work at The Maine Variety shop in Palermo, Maine.
