Texas Tech students raising future service dogs and spreading awareness on campus for Canine Companions 🦮

We are partnered with the national organization Canine Companions which provides specially trained assistance dogs to adults, children, and veterans with disabilities completely free of charge. As student puppy raisers, we are responsible for raising a dog from the time they are 8 weeks old to approximately 18-20 months. We teach 30 basic commands and also take the dogs on training outings to gain exposure and socialization to novel experiences. Canine Companions provides... Service dogs, Skilled companions, Facility dogs and Hearing dogs- all of which are free of charge!

We have grown from 1 single dog in training, to currently 6 dogs in training on the campus of Texas Tech University.
