Mitchell's Place

Mitchell’s Place specializes in improving the lives of children affected by autism and other developmental disabilities. We use quality diagnostic, educational and therapeutic services provided by highly skilled therapy teams to unlock each child’s potential. We provide speech therapy conducted by licensed and experienced professionals. We provide individualized therapeutic intervention through PLAY to help kids improve their communication, engagement with others, and joint attention. As well as, occupational therapy conducted by licensed and experienced professionals. A child’s primary occupation is PLAY. We provide individualized therapeutic intervention to help children improve their performance in occupations by engaging them in play. Through play, children acquire the developmental skills necessary to participate in activities such as eating, sleeping, self-care, learning, and school readiness skills. Underlying difficulties with fine motor, problem solving, attention, and sensory processing skills can impede their participation in these and other daily activities. Lastly, we offer focused Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) treatment and comprehensive ABA treatment. They are both one-on-one programs that focus on teaching foundational language and learning skills using the principals of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
