Since 1973, The Craftsmen's Guild of MS has worked to preserve, promote, and encourage excellence in craft. A nonprofit organization, the Guild provides resources to help craftsmen make a living from their craft, guidelines to maintain the high standards for craft, and educational programs to pass along both craft skills and an appreciation for them to future generations. Today, the Guild represents over 350 professional artisans. Membership is open to all whose work reflects a high degree of competence, professional standards, and artistry in their medium and category. The Guild continues to recruit members of all races and nationalities, as well as craftsmen with disabilities, believing that the richer the diversity of ingredients, the better the final product.
