basic. is an ethical fashion shop focusing on thoughtfully designed small-batch staple apparel. everything we carry is made within an accountable supply chain. we hope to educate and empower confident, conscious consumers.
we work with primarily micro-size (like fun-size but better!) brands. quite a few of them own their own supply chains outright, while others craft their pieces themselves and/or in partnership with skilled artisans around the world. regardless of geography, everything we stock was made in dignified environments by individuals treated with respect and paid a living wage. we know who made our clothes - and we know where, what, when, and how. we are proudly located in birmingham, alabama and are committed to progress and growth in our community.
